Thanks to generous sponsors, Carolia has facilitated the building of almost 200 houses, mainly in Seraya, for families who had either no home at all or were forced to live in porous huts made of bamboo and other plant matter.
The houses are built of brick with 2 rooms, concrete floor and a tin or tiled roof, costing in the vicinity of AUD900/950.
These two houses represent the homes families have lived in prior to sponsorship for a new build.
Sponsors of house builds are welcome to visit their families when they are in Bali. Bajing, manager of Bale Mitch Gillam is also the supervisor of house builds and accompanies sponsors on their visits.
