Luriani “ Hi my name is Luriani and I come from a very dry village called Seraya. My family’s life is really hard but I am very lucky because The Carolia Charity helped me with my study and with education I can reach my dream of working in the tourism industry.”
Luriani joined Carolia’s education sponsorship program when she was in Junior high school. On completion of junior high school Luriani moved to Rumah Carolia shelter house to continue her education to Senior High School in the city. In her village there is no senior high school, the closest from her house is around 24 km.
Luriani stayed at Rumah Carolia for 3 years before continuing her studies in hospitality at Bali Wise in Nusa Dua. Luriani now works in Yoga & Spa Therapy at Grand Hyatt Hotel, a five star hotel in Nusa Dua.
Besides working at Grand Hyatt, she also teaches as a Yoga instructor at Bali Wise.

Hilman Huda was joined The Carolia Charity in senior High School. After finishing senior high school Hilman was very lucky because his sponsor Kathy continued to support him through Nurses College for four year and then a further year for the maternity studies.
Hilman’s family lives in poverty, his father works as a traditional farmer.
His village in Java desperately required the services of a nurse and as a result Kathy provided the finances for Hilman to build a small clinic.
Hilman also works at a hospital specializing in lung problems and after he finishes these shifts he goes to work in his clinic taking care of the people in his village.
